Our Solutions

Jacaranda Health partners with governments to deploy affordable and scalable solutions through government hospitals, where the majority of underserved mothers and babies receive care. In Kenya, we work with the National Ministry of Health and with 20 Kenyan County Governments, with solutions deployed across 1,100+ hospitals and health centers.

Our Impact

Better quality of care can prevent 80% of facility-based maternal deaths and a significant proportion of neonatal deaths in Kenya. At Jacaranda Health, we partner with government health systems to improve the way care is accessed and delivered, driving measurable and sustained impact for those who need it most.

Improving Health Outcomes for Mothers and Babies

Our partnerships lead to measurable improvements in maternal and neonatal outcomes: 85% of mothers seek care for dangerous symptoms and 90% of providers perform life saving steps during a delivery.

Ensuring Sustainability with Government Partners

Our digital health programs cost only $0.74 per mother to run, and always free for the user. Our government partners share 50% of the costs for our nationally endorsed mentorship program.

Transforming Maternal & Newborn Health Care Access & Delivery

Our mission is to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths by deploying low-cost, sustainable solutions that improve the quality of care in government health systems.

CASE STUDY

Gaining Skills, Saving Lives

Recently we had a mother who delivered an asphyxiated baby, but our team was up to the task. We all chipped in, the teamwork was excellent, and we were able to help this baby. The mother was so happy, she couldn’t hold [back] her tears of joy as she held her child. These types of success stories have been increasing every day thanks to the skills we have gained from EmONC program.” -- In-facility Mentor, Kiambu County.

Our Emergency Obstetric & Newborn Care (EmONC) Mentorship program takes the classroom to public hospitals to ensure providers have the sustained skills to deliver life-saving care. We are driving a culture of quality and sustained improvement in obstetric skills across county facilities across Kenya like that in Kiambu.
